Boliqueime is a year round residential inland town, forming
part of Loule Council strategically located in the heart of Central Algarve.
Boliqueime village benefits from sea views and is surrounded by fields and
hills. Each week day morning in the village you may hear the beep of car horns
sounding the arrival of the mobile shops for freshly caught fish and hot baked
bread for residents to queue up to purchase. In the heart of the main village
is the Church Square with a Bank, Chemist, Post Office, hairdresser, dentist, restaurants,
pub and cafe.
Boliquieme has a strong Portuguese community but is also
home to a good mix of expats from the UK, Ireland, France and Netherlands to

Boliqueime is famous for its annual Summer Festival Street Party taking place
surrounding the village Church, where all are invited to a 3 day historic
themed event with traditional food, drink, costumes, music and dancing held in
the first weekend in July.
From Boliqueime there is easy access to the lively beaches,
boat rides, shopping, restaurants, golf courses and nightlife of Albufeira to
the West and Vilamoura to the East. The nearest beach is within driving
distance recognised as one of the best in the world, Praia da Falesia (Falesia
Beach). The fairly new (2018) shopping mall in Loule, Mar Shopping and the
Castle Town of Loule is just a 10 minute driveaway and Faro International
