Beschreibung

Located in a small rural community between the Pueblos Magicos of Salvatierra and Yuriria (approximately 90 minutes from San Miguel de Allende), the Hacienda de San Nicolas de Los Agustinos is a historical jewel built in the 16th century (1545) by the Augustinian friars, who also built the impressive Ex-Convent of San Agustin about 24 kilometers to the West.

The Hacienda has been largely renovated with great care and dedication from its owners to maintain and respect the magnificence and glory of its construction. The building itself has 34 large rooms (very high ceilings with beams and wide spaces everywhere that would allow the adaptation of up to 3 rooms in a single room, loft, and mezzanines. However, so far, 12 luxurious rooms have been conditioned. Colonial-style suites on the second floor, each with a private bathroom and living room, and a suite on the first floor adapted for people with mobility disabilities, also with a private bathroom and an additional room with bathroom for the personal caretaker, or for an administrative manager.

There are also large common areas, extensive corridors with archways, rooms fitted out as kitchens, restaurant, meeting room, cellars, and a large roof in perfect condition, which could easily become a large esplanade or aerial garden with the possibility of adding an elevator, all this without damaging its structure. In the backyard, next to what used to be the stables, there are still the entrances to the tunnels that lead to the nearby church, although they have never been explored.

Just behind the main building, a two-story house with a separate entrance is currently under construction, perfect for a couple or a small family. Surrounding this structure are fruit trees, such as grapes, avocados, and enough space to plan your own organic vegetable garden. It also has a good size pool and an outdoor rest area for preparing food and drinks next to the pool and jacuzzi (still disabled).

The renovation of the property has been carried out taking care of self-sustainability issues in mind and has its own well licensed by CONAGUA, solar panels, and sufficient water storage. It has access through 3 streets, its heights of up to 6 meters give the sensation of stately spaciousness. Although the Hacienda still needs to be restored, it has its own chapel and what was baptismal room in its time.
